Taekwondo is derived from several martial arts styles with the main influence being kick fighting. Translated, Tae means "to kick" or "smash with feet". Kwon means "to strick with hands" and Do means “the way of art." Taekwondo has many benefits to children such as physical strength and balance, concentration, discipline and self-confidence.
Not only focusing on the physical well-being of the child, Taekwondo helps to introduce meditation techniques and instill self-confidence. While building a community of others who enjoy participating in Taekwondo, your child will gain confidence as they observe their own progress and increasing mastery of Taekwondo techniques and sequences.
